April kicked off the trade show season and there is no debating the change in how product is being viewed. The use of tablets to show product to active leads in booth or showrooms is incredibly effective when prospects get a chance to speak with booth personnel.
BIG PROBLEM: what about those prospects waiting to see you? They do not have a tablet keyed to your web page or presentation. They simply walk around your booth or showroom and MAYBE wait to speak to some one.
The most effective booths and showrooms have printed material, binders, folders and turned edge product strategically positioned for the not yet engaged prospect to review. Using your ring binder, catalog, turned edge folio or some other physical print medium keeps the prospects interest, lets them interact with your product and be ready for your booth staff and the coveted tablet.
Technology is a great hook, but you need to back it up with catalog binders, folders and other print in order to prevent the trade show fatigue problem that we have been seeing this season.
